Fusion Mineral Paint Lavender Haze
This soothing lavender brings out strong mauve undertones for a nuanced hue reminiscent of dried lavender at twilight.
Superior to English and American chalk paints, ultra-adhesive FUSION mineral paint can be applied to any surface without the need for a primer or undercoat. It is ready to use and provides a matte finish that is just as authentic as milk paint. Fusion paint does not require a topcoat, but you can apply one to create glossier or distressed effects, or to increase its resistance to water and wear. Fusion mineral paint is highly durable and easy to apply. It offers excellent coverage which, in almost every case, requires only one coat.

PREPARATION: THE SURFACE MUST BE CLEAN AND DRY. CLEAN WITH PHOSPHATE-FREE ORGANIC TSP DEGREASER. SURFACES OTHER THAN BARE WOOD SHOULD BE LIGHTLY SANDED. FOR GLASS, METAL, OR GLOSSY PLASTIC, WE RECOMMEND APPLYING A COAT OF HOMESTEAD HOUSE ADHESION AGENT FIRST.
APPLICATION: FUSION SHOULD BE APPLIED WITH A "BLUE JEANS" SYNTHETIC BRISTLE BRUSH
OR FOR A SMOOTHER FINISH, USE A VERY DENSE BRISTLE BRUSH LIKE THE STAALMEESTER OVAL BRUSH. IT ALSO APPLIES VERY WELL WITH A ROLLER. STIR THE PAINT WELL BEFORE APPLICATION. ALL COLORS CAN BE MIXED TOGETHER TO CREATE A MULTITUDE OF SHADES.
To create a distressed effect: use the wax resist bar to prevent the paint from adhering to areas you wish to distress. CAUTION: Varnish will not adhere to wax.
FINISHING: THE PAINT IS DRY TO THE TOUCH AFTER TWO TO THREE HOURS.
To create an antique (distressed) effect, sand the surfaces with SIASPONGE flexible waterproof sanding sponges.
Although it is not mandatory, adding a topcoat will improve the sheen and durability, and make the painted surface much easier to maintain.
Apply wax after 4 hours. You can use Fusion wax, Homestead House waxes, or colorless or colored Carbamex paste wax to create patinas.
Wait 24 hours after application before applying the Fusion Tough Coat or a varnish like Blanchon Initial for surfaces exposed to moisture and abrasion. For exterior surfaces, use Blanchon Marine Varnish.
