Fusion Acadia mineral paint
A soft green with yellow undertones and silvery highlights. This medium shade is both charming and elegant, reminiscent of sun-drenched foliage.
Superior to English and American chalk paints, FUSION ultra-adhesive mineral paint can be applied to any surface without a primer or undercoat. It is ready to use and provides a matte finish as authentic as milk paint. Fusion paint does not require a topcoat, though you may apply one to create lustrous or distressed effects, or to increase protection against water and wear. Fusion mineral paint is highly durable and easy to apply. It offers excellent coverage, which in almost all cases, requires only one coat.

PREPARATION: THE SURFACE MUST BE CLEAN AND DRY. CLEAN WITH TSP PHOSPHATE-FREE ORGANIC DEGREASER. SURFACES OTHER THAN BARE WOOD MUST BE LIGHTLY SANDED. FOR GLASS, METAL, OR GLOSSY PLASTIC, WE RECOMMEND APPLYING A PRELIMINARY COAT OF HOMESTEAD HOUSE ADHESION AGENT.
APPLICATION: FUSION SHOULD BE APPLIED WITH A SYNTHETIC "BLUE JEANS" BRISTLE BRUSH OR, FOR A SMOOTHER FINISH, USE A VERY DENSE BRISTLE BRUSH SUCH AS THE STAALMEESTER OVAL BRUSH. IT ALSO APPLIES VERY WELL WITH A ROLLER. STIR THE PAINT WELL BEFORE APPLICATION. ALL COLORS CAN BE MIXED TOGETHER TO CREATE A MULTITUDE OF SHADES.
To create a distressed effect: use the wax stick to prevent paint from adhering to the areas you wish to distress. ATTENTION: Varnish does not adhere to wax.
FINISHING: THE PAINT IS DRY TO THE TOUCH AFTER TWO TO THREE HOURS.
To create an antique (distressed) effect, sand surfaces with flexible waterproof SIASPONGE abrasive sponges.
Although not mandatory, adding a topcoat will improve luster, durability, and make the painted surface much easier to maintain.
Apply wax after 4 hours. You can use Fusion wax, Homestead House waxes, and clear or colored Carbamex paste wax to create patinas.
Wait 24 hours after application before applying the Fusion Tough Coat or a varnish like Blanchon Initial for surfaces exposed to moisture and abrasion. For outdoor surfaces, use Blanchon Marine Varnish.
