Raw silk mineral fusion paint
Superior to English and American chalk paints, ultra-adhesive FUSION mineral paint can be applied to any surface without a primer or undercoat. It is ready to use and provides a matte finish, just as authentic as milk paint. Fusion paint does not require a topcoat, but you can choose to apply one to create glossier or patina effects, or to increase protection against water and wear. Fusion mineral paint is highly durable and easy to apply. It offers excellent coverage that, in almost all cases, requires only one coat.

PREPARATION: THE SURFACE MUST BE CLEAN AND DRY. CLEAN WITH PHOSPHATE-FREE TSP ORGANIC DEGREASER. SURFACES OTHER THAN BARE WOOD SHOULD BE LIGHTLY SANDED. FOR GLASS, METAL, OR GLOSSY PLASTIC, WE RECOMMEND APPLYING A LAYER OF HOMESTEAD HOUSE ADHESION AGENT FIRST.
APPLICATION: FUSION IS APPLIED WITH A "BLUE JEANS" SYNTHETIC BRISTLE BRUSH OR, FOR A SMOOTHER FINISH, USE A VERY DENSE BRISTLE BRUSH SUCH AS THE STAALMEESTER OVAL BRUSH. IT ALSO APPLIES VERY WELL WITH A ROLLER. STIR THE PAINT WELL BEFORE APPLICATION. ALL COLORS CAN BE MIXED TOGETHER TO CREATE A MULTITUDE OF SHADES.
To create a distressed effect: use the wax resist stick to prevent the paint from adhering to the areas you wish to distress. ATTENTION: Varnish does not adhere to wax.
FINISH: THE PAINT IS DRY TO THE TOUCH AFTER TWO TO THREE HOURS.
To create an antique (distressed) effect, sand the surfaces with SIASPONGE flexible waterproof abrasive sponges.
Although not mandatory, adding a finish will improve the luster, durability, and make the painted surface much easier to maintain.
Apply a wax after 4 hours. You can use Fusion wax, Homestead House waxes, and colorless or colored Carbamex paste wax to create patinas.
Wait 24 hours after application before applying Fusion Tough Coat or a varnish such as Blanchon Initial for surfaces exposed to moisture and abrasion. For outdoor surfaces, use Blanchon Marine Varnish.
